1. Who we are
Grow Mate is operated by Grow Mate. For any privacy question or request, email hello@growmate.live.
2. The short version
- The free formatting, sizing and calculator tools run in your browser; what you type or upload there doesn't reach our servers.
- The AI tools send what you type to our server and to OpenAI to generate a result; we don't store those inputs on our server.
- Signing in with Google gives us your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID, so your dashboard can follow you across devices.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.
3. Information we collect
When you use the free tools
The Instagram font generator, caption spacer, character counter, grid splitter, Reels cover resizer, engagement rate calculator and money calculator process everything in your browser. Images you upload to them never leave your device.
The AI tools — the caption, Reels hook, bio, carousel, repurposer and username generators — send your niche, account type, goal and whatever you type into the tool (such as a topic, a current bio or pasted text) to our server, which passes them to OpenAI to write the result. The post idea and hashtag generators send your niche to our server to look up matching ideas and tags.
When you sign in with Google
- From Google: your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID.
- From onboarding: your niche, account type, goal and, if you add it, your Instagram username.
- Account timestamps: when the account was created and last updated.
Stored on your device
Your checklist progress, weekly planner, posting streak, saved brand voice, theme and recent tool results are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device unless you clear your browser data.
Technical information
Our hosting providers record standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to run and secure the service.
When you contact us
The contact form opens your own email app. We receive only what you choose to send, and we use it to reply.
4. How we use information
- To run the tools and generate the results you ask for.
- To sign you in and keep your dashboard, onboarding profile and settings tied to your account.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To reply when you contact us.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our agreement with you (providing the service you sign up for), our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and your consent where we ask for it.
5. How AI processing works
AI results are generated by OpenAI's API. OpenAI receives the text described above for each request. Under OpenAI's API data policy, API data isn't used to train its models by default and may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. Don't paste sensitive personal information — health, financial or identity details about you or anyone else — into the AI tools.
6. Services we use
We share data only with the providers that make the service work:

We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We disclose information only if the law requires it or to protect the safety of users and the service.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by the providers.
8. How long we keep information
- Account data: until you ask us to delete your account.
- AI tool inputs: not stored on our server after the result is returned; OpenAI's retention is described above.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting providers under their own retention schedules.
- Data on your device: until you clear your browser storage.
9. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your account data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@growmate.live. We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Signing out ends your session. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored on your device.
10. Security
The site runs over HTTPS, your session is held in an HttpOnly cookie that scripts can't read, and Google verifies every sign-in. We never ask for or store your Instagram password. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Grow Mate isn't intended for anyone under 13. Where local law sets a higher age for consenting to data processing, users below that age need a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to tell signed-in users, for example by email.
